Depression
“Do you often feel sad or depressed?”
This question is a non-asterisked item and should be self-rated. It is important to refrain from rewording, redefining or coaching on this question. Even if dementia is suspected, the Interviewee’s response should be taken at face-value. This is also true even if the Interviewer’s clinical judgement is to infer otherwise.
